Slide Gate dampers are available in round, square, and rectangular configurations or in any combination of the three. Slide Gates are designed strictly for on/off service. They are used primarily as shut off devices for material handling systems such as hopper shut-off valves. Besides their use in hoppers, there are a number of different applications where this type of damper can be utilized.
Slide Gate dampers are available in sizes from 4″ to 60″. Carbon steel is standard, but any weldable alloy can be provided. All Slide Gates have enclosed bonnets, either welded or removable. The enclosed bonnets prevent leakage to the outside atmosphere. The end bonnet on all gates is removable to allow the blade and shaft to be serviced or removed without disassembling the gate from the duct work.
