ANSI Monosfera Carbon Steel Single Sphere Rubber Expansion Joint DN15-DN4000 6-40 Bars

The monosfera body is the classic single arch design, and in this version it is rated across the full 6 to 40 bar band. A multi-ply nylon cord carcass carries the hoop stress while a steel wire pressure ring locks the sphere into the flange bead, so the arch cannot be extruded out of the flange under surge. The result is a joint that behaves like a short flexible spool rather than a weak link in the line.

Flanges are drilled to ANSI B16.5 patterns and supplied in carbon steel, so the joint bolts directly to standard American class 150 and class 300 equipment. From DN15 laboratory lines up to DN4000 transmission mains, the same construction principle scales, which keeps spares strategy simple for plant operators running mixed pipe sizes.

• 6-40 Bar Pressure Band: Covering PN6 to PN40 duties, the reinforced arch holds its shape from low pressure transfer lines up to 40 bar service.
• ANSI Drilled Flanges: Bolt patterns to ANSI B16.5 allow direct connection to class 150 and class 300 valves, pumps and fittings.

This joint is specified on high pressure transfer lines, boiler feed and condensate circuits, mine dewatering mains, sea water cooling systems and process headers where ANSI valves and pumps are already installed. Large sizes are used on transmission mains and outfall lines. Because the same body style covers DN15 through DN4000, maintenance teams can keep one installation method and one spares philosophy across the whole plant.

Each unit is hydrostatically tested at 1.5 times working pressure, then film wrapped, cartoned and crated. Large diameters are shipped in braced wooden cases with the flange faces protected by plywood discs. Mill certificates for the carbon steel flanges, the pressure test record and a dimensional report are issued with the packing list, and we can mark crates to a customer reference for site delivery.
